Types of Parties
There are so many ways to Party with Paparazzi accessories! Here are some of the examples of parties you can do!
Hosting an Open House
Hosting your First Home party is essential! An Open House is a great way to announce your new business and book your first parties. An Open House is also terrific for Holidays, New Product Launches (Like Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter), etc. This is where you invite literally everyone you can think of – and I mean EVERYONE – No matter if you know them or not, that is if you are comfortable inviting them to your home that is. Offering specials for booking a party from that Open House is recommended. Here are some other tips and ideas:
- Balloons – To stir up excitement and energy about your new business! Put balloons outside and inside, they just signify PARTY!
- Get some Cute Baskets for your Customers to use
- Raffle Tickets – You can raffle small items of each hour, or do a drawing at the end of the event for something larger. Give raffle tickets for whatever you would like: being on time, Bringing a shirt to accessorize, booking a party, bringing a friend, etc.
- Mystery Hostess – To boost sales at your Open House you can offer a “Mystery Hostess Party” This means at the end of the Open House you will draw someone’s name from all of the orders to be the “Mystery Hostess” and receive the Hostess Rewards from the total sales of the Open House.
- Do not go overboard on the food, you do not want people coming there to eat. Light snacks and pitchers of tea and lemonade are more than enough.
- Keep it Simple!
- Always have a Calendar
- Get a Yard Sign!
- Pass out Personal Invitations, Put up Flyers, Send Reminders via text or Facebook.

Basket Parties
Basket Parties are VERY EASY to do! The Main idea of a Basket Parties is to send “Jewelry in a Basket” with someone. They can take it to their Office or Work Place, to a Reunion, at a Salon, etc. They will show to their Family, Friends and Co-workers, and will sell what they can! They get “Hostess bonuses” for their Effort (10% of Sales or 1 Free Piece for every 10 sold). Easy peasy! Its a win-win situation.
I not only recommend others to do Basket parties, but I, myself, Take a basket with me EVERY WHERE I go! It’s a really easy way to sell jewelry on the spot!

Here is what I normally put in a Basket Party – This also depends and varies based on how many people are going to be at the work place/party.
I normally put about 100-200 pieces. Basket parties are great for smaller inventories. They never know that you don’t have 1000 pieces at home. They just are excited about $5 jewelry.
Here is the Breakdown:
-60-70 necklaces. Lots of best sellers and neutrals. At least one of each color that is NOT neutral.
-20-30 pairs of earrings (Mostly neutrals with a little color added.)
-15 bracelets
-15 rings
-5 clips
-5 headbands
*Starlet Shimmers (optional) – ask your hostess.
On my basket parties I keep all the headbands, clips, bracelets, and earrings in their own separate bags for easy locating. Keeping things organized helps the jewelry not getting as tangled and broken. I keep the rings in the ring boxes.
I also put a mirror, my business card, drawing slips, Top 10 reasons to become a Paparazzi consultant, a money bag with 4 $5 bills and maybe 5 $1 bills if including Starlet Shimmer, and an inventory sheet that tells the hostess how many pieces of each are in the basket. Click Here for a Basket Party Agreement where you can list all of the inventory you are sending in the basket. You can also request a copy in Microsoft Word format so you can change my contact info to yours by sending an email or contacting me through FB.
On that paper, I also have the price and “Make checks payable to: Colleen Menning.” I also tell the hostess if she gets anyone to host a party from that basket party, I will give her a free piece of jewelry – that gives her incentive to talk to her co-workers about hosting parties.
I recommend leaving a basket at a place for at least 2 days. Many of my Customers like to keep it for a week.
